Operating under the guise of “reform” or “disruption,” these shadow groups are pushing regulators for unsound and unscientific standards that would devastate the existing system. Organ Procurement Organizations (“OPOs’’) are strictly regulated nonprofits with a singular public interest mission. Unproven special interests seek to destroy and replace OPOs for the benefit of private contractors.
